Tom Brady, the legendary quarterback who established himself over more than two decades as the NFL's most prolific winner and arguably its greatest player, announced Wednesday that he is retiring. This time, he said, he will not change his mind. "I'll get to the point right away: I'm retiring, for good," Brady said in a 53-second video posted to social media. "I know the process was a pretty big deal last time. So when I woke up this morning, I figured I'd just press record and let you guys know first. So I won't be long-winded. You only get one super-emotional retirement essay, and I used mine up last year." Brady, 45, won seven Super Bowls over his 23 NFL seasons with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He is the league's career leader in passing yards and touchdown passes, among many other categories. He was a three-time league MVP and a five-time Super Bowl MVP. Hazelwood reflects on maiden Gen3 test
Listen to this article Blanchard Racing Team made Supercars history at Winton today by becoming the first team to shake down its Gen3 race car . The CoolDrive-backed Mustang cut its first laps with team co-owner Tim Blanchard behind the wheel this morning, before new signing Hazelwood took over the rest of the day. According to Hazelwood his starring role in the test came with an unexpected level of pressure given all eyes were on the BRT Ford. That was combined with it being this first day on the job with the single-car team since his off-season move from Matt Stone Racing. Given the attention on the car, Hazelwood was thrilled to finish a full day without any major issues. "It was a weird pressure that I didn't anticipate, to be honest," he told Motorsport.com. "You know, when it's your first day with the team you always want to do the best job possible. And for me it was the first time I had ever had a brand new chassis at my disposal. "So you've got the … [Read more...] about Hazelwood reflects on maiden Gen3 test
Nissan Z Nismo Prototypes Spied On The Streets Of Arizona
Nissan has done well keeping its upgraded Z under wraps. We've only glimpsed a couple of test vehicles, but thanks to an enthusiast at NissanZClub , we have another look at what could be a new Nismo model. Specifically, we have Sean in Arizona to thank for this glimpse. He caught two prototypes on camera, getting a pretty good look from both the side and rear. Fortunately, the side views also capture a bit of the front, as we believe that's where a significant change from the standard Z will occur. We're talking about the split grille, which Nissan debuted on the Fairlady Z Customized Proto just over a year ago. More importantly, the automaker announced in early January that the split grille will enter production as a dealer-installed option for Japan-spec cars, later this year. The one major difference in Houston Rockets, Thunder rebuild efforts
This is a carousel. Use Next and Previous buttons to navigate 3 Houston Rockets head coach Stephen Silas was posed a simple question as he met with the media following Tuesday's practice at the Toyota Center. Silas was asked to identify what is separating the rebuilds in Houston and Oklahoma City at the moment before the two squads face off Wednesday evening. As the Rockets enter Wednesday night firmly in the Western Conference cellar, the Thunder find themselves in the thick of the playoff hunt, far away from the race to the bottom of the lottery in hopes of landing Victor Wembanyama . Silas highlighted one major reason why Oklahoma City has been able to kickstart its rebuild following All-Star departures across the last half-decade. "They have a really good player who could be a top-10 player in the league," Silas said in reference to Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. "Early, he helped them win some games to where their … [Read more...] about The one major difference in Houston Rockets, Thunder rebuild efforts
2024 Range Rover Velar Debuts With New Infotainment, Starts At $61,500
Arguably one of the most stylish SUVs available, the Range Rover Velar is getting subtle exterior changes for the 2024 model year. Land Rover's designers have not fiddled with the styling too much as the luxury vehicle largely retains the sleek styling of the pre-facelift version. Updated headlights have jewel-like daytime running lights and flank a discreetly revised front grille. At the rear, the bumper's lower part has been mildly updated. Bigger changes have occurred inside the cabin where the 2024 Velar uses Land Rover's swanky 11.4-inch infotainment with a "floating" curved glass touchscreen. This hardware change brings it in line with the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport , allowing users to access 80 percent of the available functions with just two taps of the home screen. 2024 Range Rover Velar 35 Photos Pivi Pro can accept over-the-air updates and … [Read more...] about 2024 Range Rover Velar Debuts With New Infotainment, Starts At $61,500
BMW M5 With Supercharged 730-HP V10 Hits 210+ MPH On Autobahn
We’ve seen plenty of fast BMWs on the Autobahn. But we have never seen anything like this particular M5 from the E60 generation. This is by far not a stock car and it is actually a one-off we’ve written about back in 2009. During the golden years of WorldCarFans , this beast had the "most powerful engine" ever seen on a "road-legal BMW." These are not our words. They come from Lumma Design and G-Power , which are the two companies that cooperated to develop and build this monstrous M5. It is surely not the most powerful road-legal BMW anymore but is still quite an impressive machine. This new video from the TopSpeedGermany channel shows us the vehicle in action and we have to admit it is astonishingly quick. Radical SR10 XXR Debuts With Aero Upgrades, Carbon Fiber Bits
In late December last year, Radical unveiled the SR3 XXR as a more potent and hardcore version of one of its most popular products. Now, the British company also upgrades the SR10 to XXR specification by adding aerodynamic and other upgrades to this more powerful race car. The single-seater now features new front louvers, which should improve the aerodynamics at high speeds and have a positive effect on handling and cooling, according to Radical. Another novelty comes in the form of an LMP-inspired central fin, also seen on the SR3 XXR. New lightweight alloy wheels and new front DRL lights round off the improvements that come as standard equipment for this optimized version of the SR10. Optionally, customers can have a new carbon splitter and diffuser package, which brings additional weight reduction.
