In her speech, Nirmala Sitharaman stated that the new vehicle scrappage policy will phase out all old and unfit vehicles. The new policy will also improve sales and manufacturing of more fuel-efficient and environment-friendly vehicles, while also cutting down on the country's import bills. The Finance Minister also stated that the new vehicle scrappage policy will be based on the fitness tests of both personal and commercial vehicles. The new policy once implemented will encourage scrapping personal vehicles older than 20 years. Similarly, the life of commercial vehicles in the country will now be set for 15 years. Ex-MotoGP rider Hernandez stepped over to WSBK this year with Lucio Pedercini's customer Kawasaki outfit after losing his Moto2 seat with the AGR team part way through the '17 campaign.Hernandez was absent from the Magny-Cours round last weekend, replaced by Superstock racer Jeremy Guarnoni.It has since been reported that Hernandez was unable to secure a hotel room due to arriving late, and thus returned home without competing. The team, which announced in August it would be retaining the Colombian for next year, has now confirmed it will replace Hernandez with his former future teammate Gabriel Ruiu for the final rounds in Argentina and Qatar. Hernandez switched over to the production-based series at the start of the year after an abortive Moto2 campaign with the AGR squad in 2017, following the loss of his Aspar MotoGP seat at the end of the previous year.The Colombian lies 18th in the standings with a best finish of 11th, having been forced to skip the Donington Park round due to visa issues.Now it has been confirmed that Hernandez, who briefly returned to MotoGP in a test outing for Tech 3 Yamaha at Sepang at the start of the year, will stay with Pedercini for a second WSBK campaign next year. "Yonny is a professional, a very careful, collaborative and professional rider," said team boss Lucio Pedercini. "He is gradually becoming more confident with the bike and the team. There are no fewer than three SUVs (Macan, Cayenne, Cayenne Coupe) that carry the Porsche crest, along with the Panamera liftback/wagon duo and the Taycan electric sedan . Initially teased as a concept car during the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, the zero-emissions wagon in production form is inching closer.
