But it is the home's location among Bluejack National that makes this listing even more desirable. Bluejack National is a resort community and club located in Montgomery. The renowned community is best known for its golf course, designed by five-time Masters champ Tiger Woods, but it offers numerous amenities to members including pools, a bowling alley, a football field and a "mini-Fenway" park. Bluejack National has four club tiers offering access to different elements of the property. Newgarden unrepentant over Grosjean Nashville IndyCar clash

August 8, 2022 by www.motorsport.com Leave a Comment

Listen to this article After a fuel strategy didn’t work out well with the way the cautions fell, Newgarden made a late pitstop under yellow, and had to climb from 14 th , which he did with a great jump into 10 th . Then at the next restart, he made a bold dive up the inside of three cars on the penultimate restart, and as Grosjean’s Andretti Autosport-Honda approached the apex of Turn 9, the #2 Penske-Chevrolet drew fully alongside. However at the speed he was going on cold tires, Newgarden required the full width of the track on corner exit and that wasn’t available to him since Grosjean was there. That sent the AA-Honda hard into the concrete wall, which brought out a yellow flag, then the red flag to ensure the race finished under green. The 2017 and ’19 champion felt there was nothing wrong with his maneuver, telling NBC Sports, “I was alongside him fully if not fully ahead. I haven't seen it from the outside.” Then after watching the replay he said, “I'm already … [Read more...] about Newgarden unrepentant over Grosjean Nashville IndyCar clash

Max Verstappen happy to see Mercedes ‘steal points’ from Ferrari

August 14, 2022 by www.planetf1.com Leave a Comment

Max Verstappen believes Mercedes might be able to help his bid for a second title, by stealing points away from Ferrari. The reigning World Champion’s lead in the 2022 title chase increased at the Hungarian Grand Prix, extending to 80 points between himself and the pursuing Charles Leclerc. This was after Leclerc fell down to sixth place due to how competitive Mercedes were in Budapest, with Lewis Hamilton and George Russell coming home in second and third place respectively. While Ferrari and Red Bull have had the top positions largely to themselves this year, Mercedes have been making steady progress with their W13 and appear, on occasion, to be able to get themselves in the mix near the front – a situation Verstappen is welcoming as Ferrari continue to make mistakes and lose out to Red Bull. Mercedes ‘finding more consistency’ as 2022 progresses “No, it’s good that they are competitive,” Verstappen told media after the Hungarian Grand Prix, when asked if he was … [Read more...] about Max Verstappen happy to see Mercedes ‘steal points’ from Ferrari

Top 10 Arrows F1 drivers ranked: Hill, Warwick, Fittipaldi and more

August 14, 2022 by www.motorsport.com Leave a Comment

Listen to this article A team that began its time in Formula 1 under controversial circumstances, Arrows’ 24-year spell in the championship came to an end in 2002 amid mounting financial problems. Still the team with the most world championship race starts (counting the Footwork years) under its belt – at 382 – without ever taking a victory, Arrows came close to troubling the top step of the podium throughout its curious history – but fell short each time. The British squad, started up by former Lotus F1 driver Jackie Oliver, Alan Rees and Franco Ambrosio, went through multiple ownership changes in its latter years. It spent six seasons as Footwork in the 1990s, before Tom Walkinshaw took over for 1997 and restored the Arrows name. Although the team made an encouraging start under his tenure, with the Scot’s investment helping to bring 1996 champion Damon Hill and famed designer John Barnard into the team, it arguably over-reached its capabilities with an in-house engine … [Read more...] about Top 10 Arrows F1 drivers ranked: Hill, Warwick, Fittipaldi and more

Use Next and Previous buttons to navigate 8 WHANGANUI, New Zealand (AP) — Five years ago, the Whanganui River was recognized as a living person in a groundbreaking New Zealand law. For many who live along its banks, the official recognition validated the deep spiritual connection they feel with the river. They continue to feel the draw of its waters each day, whether it's to fish, canoe or refresh their lives. ___ Ngahuia Twomey-Waitai, 28, walks into the Whanganui River and reaches down to splash water over her head in an action reminiscent of a baptism. She says the river has been a big part of her life since she was born. “I tend to come down here quite often to cleanse myself, especially when I’m going through some big, huge changes in my life, regardless of them being good or bad," she says. “The river always makes things better for me." “Just being down here gives me a huge smile and … [Read more...] about Whanganui River ‘always makes things better for me’

To save their home, an Indigenous community turns to the skies

August 15, 2022 by www.chron.com Leave a Comment

This is a carousel. Use Next and Previous buttons to navigate 5 For centuries, the Philippine eagle and hawk eagle have shared this remote rainforest with the Dumagat, an Indigenous people who call the slopes of the Sierra Madre mountains in the northern Philippines their home. Together, they survived Spanish colonialism and American imperialism and the impinging development of the modern Philippines. But in recent years the raptors have become perilously scarce. Fewer than 600 mature Philippine hawk eagles are left in the wild, according to the International Union for the Conservation of Nature's Red List, which considers the bird to be endangered. The Dumagat also fear that their way of life may be endangered. The government is building a new highway through the Dumagat's domain, threatening to disrupt their traditional communities with unregulated tourism, soaring real estate prices and ecological degradation. But the eagles could … [Read more...] about To save their home, an Indigenous community turns to the skies
