It's only for India. Skoda keeps expanding its global SUV family and the next addition to the lineup will be the Kushaq. Basically a production version of the Vision IN concept from 2020, the crossover will be sold exclusively in India and will be produced in the country with 95 percent of the components built locally. Last month, Skoda released the first sketches previewing the exterior design of the Kushaq. Today, the Czech manufacturer is letting us take a look inside the cabin through two teaser images. Our first impression is that this will be a typical Skoda product with a focus on spaciousness and smart solutions. The new Tata Tiago XTA variant is priced at Rs 5.99 lakh, ex-showroom (Delhi). As the name suggests, the new variant is the AMT-equipped version of the XT variant in the Tiago hatchback's lineup. With the addition of the new XTA variant, the Tata Tiago now offers the AMT automatic gearbox with a total of four trim levels, further increasing the options for their customers. The new Tata Tiago XTA variant will also carry forward the same feature and equipment list as the ‘XT' trim. The Kodiaq SUV is shaping up to be Skoda’s most important launch after the first-gen modern Octavia from 1996, so it’s no wonder the VW-owned Czech marque is pulling out all the stops to let everyone know the Kodiaq has arrived. Long before the brand’s first SUV, Skoda’s underpinnings served as foundation for the very affordable Trekka, which went on sale half a century ago bearing some resemblance to the Land Rover Series I. Described as being a “lightweight off-road vehicle” and quite possibly the first car designed and built in New Zealand, the Trekka was launched on December 2, 1966. The latest insight comes from SAE.org , and if accurate, it paints a C8 future of gasoline and electric-fueled power. A little over six months ago, we reported on Chevrolet renewing its trademark for the E-Ray moniker. This has long been the expected name of the first hybrid Corvette , and this new report cites inside sources as saying it will keep the 6.2-liter V8 while adding a pair of electric motors for the front wheels. The rugged little crossover will be sold only in India. As if one crossover with a name that’s hard to spell wasn’t enough for today – Nissan Qashqai – Skoda has dropped a couple of design sketches for its upcoming Kushaq. Debuting in a month from today, the little high-riding vehicle will essentially be a production version of the Vision IN concept (pictured at the bottom) introduced about a year ago. From concept to production, the Kushaq has gone through the kind of changes you’d expect – bigger headlights and mirrors, regular door handles, and minor modifications of the bodywork. It has (thankfully) lost the illuminated grille and the wheel size has likely gone down a bit from the concept's 19-inch set to better cope with India’s typically rough roads.
