Our exclusive renderings show a smooth small truck with F-150 style. By now, it's certainly no secret that Ford is preparing a new compact pickup truck. Leaked images of the tailgate all but confirm it's called Maverick , and more leaked images of the body give us a strong taste of how it will look. We pulled all the leaks together to create a pair of Motor1.com exclusive renderings that should be pretty darned accurate to the forthcoming production version. We previously offered a Maverick rendering from the rear , highlighting the tailgate. This time around our focus is on the front, showcasing the big, bold grille and headlight design that was revealed in a leaked image from Ford's assembly plant in Hermosillo, Mexico. We offer two versions, one with a body-colored fascia and another with a black fascia. Ford's larger trucks generally have bold bumpers that stand out from the body, but the Maverick's unibody design might steer the small pickup in a different … [Read more...] about 2022 Ford Maverick: This Is How It Could Look

What are you waiting for, Xiaomi? If you thought a semi-autonomous electric car from Apple is a wild idea, prepare to be shocked as another tech giant is reportedly working on a vehicle or, more precisely, a family of vehicles. But it's not coming soon. The next-generation Mercedes-Benz C-Class made its official debut earlier this week , bringing technologies and styling inspired by the S Class Sedan . A major selling point for the new premium sedan is expected to be the fully electrified engine range, though the absence of six- and eight-cylinder engines might be a drawback for some customers. According to a new report, a battery-powered model could join the lineup in a few years to allure a new wave of clients. Autocar reports a zero tailpipe emission C-Class is set to be introduced but it won’t come until 2024. It will ride on a brand new platform, different from the MRA that underpins the new C-Class and S-Class, and different from the firm’s MEA electric vehicle architecture. It's the brand's new MMA platform for compact electric vehicles. “This vehicle addresses the current demand we believe is high around the globe from a loyal customer base,” the company’s chief operating … [Read more...] about Mercedes C-Class EV Planned On Dedicated Platform
The V10 family hauler is back... in Photoshop. Renault took the 1994 Paris Motor Show by storm with the unveiling of what is arguably the most ludicrous minivan ever built. We’re using “ludicrous” in the most positive way possible as the one-off Espace F1 had a lot going for it. Built to celebrate the minivan’s tenth anniversary, the impressive build was co-developed with Matra as a mid-engined family hauler with a V10 taken from a Formula 1 car. The spirit of the Espace F1 is alive and well some 27 years later as a talented artist has resurrected the rear-wheel-drive minivan with its 3.5-liter engine producing up to 820 horsepower. If you recall, the original concept had the powertrain sourced from the 1993 Williams-Renault FW15C Formula 1 car and used a carbon fiber body to keep weight down to a low 2,866 pounds (1,300 kilograms). The adjacent rendering is based on the latest Espace, an endangered model in Renault’s lineup as the minivan could bite the dust as … [Read more...] about Renault Espace F1 Revival Rendering Says No To Boring Minivans
