Home Four wheelers oi-Kennedy Paul By Kennedy Paul Updated: Sunday, March 21, 2021, 7:33 [IST] 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show: Nissan Star Wars theme concept cars unveiled. Star Wars creator Lucasfilm and Nissan have developed six special edition cars based on the new Star Wars movie: The Last Jedi film. All the six concept cars are based on the company's most popular models in America: the Rogue and Rogue Sport (known in the UK as the X-Trail and Qashqai), Altima and Maxima. Each of these special editions is based on a character or a vehicle from the movie. Artists from Lucasfilm worked with Industrial Light and Magic to develop the concepts, which were then transformed into real cars by Californian firm Vehicle Effects. The vehicles, though, will not be available for purchase. Nissan will showcase them in other motor shows in the US. Recommended Video - Watch Now! Alonso has “a lot of room to improve” form during F1 return
The two-time world champion took his first grand prix start since 2018 at Sakhir following two years competing in the FIA World Endurance Championship and the Dakar rally among others. Despite the long absence, Alonso made it into the top 10 in qualifying and was fighting for a point-scoring finish before a sandwich wrapper lodged into a brake duct forced him into retirement 32 laps into the race. After Sunday, the Spaniard felt he still needed to iron out mistakes and find more speed and confidence at the wheel. "It was nice," said Alonso of his race. "I had a couple of good battles and some of those had happy endings, some of the were not as we were being overtaken. "But I need to find more pace from myself and find more confidence and I need to extract more from the car, the brakes and execute the start better. "It was not too bad but there is a lot of room to improve from my side. "At the pitstops I think the guys did an amazing job but my position in … [Read more...] about Alonso has “a lot of room to improve” form during F1 return
Honda Civic ‘War Wagon’ With 30-Inch Tires Is Not Your Usual Build
This Civic doesn't scrape, unless it's climbing rocks. It's entirely possible you've seen this wild Honda Civic before. It's not a new build, but this new video from BoostedBoiz on YouTube does give us a new look at the unlikely off-roader in action. It certainly goes against the norm for aftermarket Honda projects that usually see cars slammed to the ground. Suffice it to say, this is one Civic that fears no speed bump. Or ocean for that matter. More on that in a bit. First, here's what you need to know about this bonkers build. It's the brainchild of Ben Huffman, who credits this car for launching his company called HRG Engineering . In short, he picked up this clapped-out 1991 Civic wagon for $500 back in 2015, literally saving it from going to the junkyard. Instead of going low, Huffman went high and began experimenting with different suspension setups to make the small Civic an off-road hero. It boasts a six-inch lift, rides on 30-inch tires and wheels with … [Read more...] about Honda Civic ‘War Wagon’ With 30-Inch Tires Is Not Your Usual Build
2022 VW ID.6 Revealed With Room For Seven And Two Electric Motors
The three-row electric SUV comes in ID.6 X and ID.6 Crozz flavors. Volkswagen's electric offensive is in full swing and the ID.6 represents the largest member of the company's dedicated EV lineup for now. Available exclusively in China, the purely electric SUV is a bigger brother of the global ID.4 , and much like the five-seat-only model, it's available locally in two separate versions. VW's joint venture with FAW will produce the ID.6 Crozz whereas the other joint venture with SAIC will be responsible for the ID.6 X. Mechanically, they're virtually identical, with the most notable changes being represented by the slightly different LED headlights and taillights along with unique bumpers. Both remain fairly similar to the ID.4, with the obvious exception of the larger footprint as denoted by the bigger quarter glass. Hybrid Carriage Concept Literally Has 2 Horsepower
This massive vehicle can also travel via electric power and navigate itself autonomously. Imagine how transportation would be different without the invention of the internal combustion engine. For one thing, the entire Motor1 team would be out jobs. The latest concept from the design house Camal imagines how such a vehicle could work by melding elements from the past and the future. Camal calls its Viva concept an “assisted carriage.” Rather than a combustion engine, this thing uses horsepower – literally. Two horses pull the vehicle along like an old-school buggy. As the animals trot along, the wheels’ movement charges on-board batteries, and the vehicle’s electric motors can assist in the propulsion when the animals get tired. The Viva can even run solely on electric power and navigate autonomously when owners want to leave the Clydesdales in the stable. The image below illustrates how the process works. Camal’s images don’t provide a good sense of scale, … [Read more...] about Hybrid Carriage Concept Literally Has 2 Horsepower
