First things first, you need to find out where your vehicle has been taken to. The police, local council or the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency all reserve the right to tow your vehicle if it is parked in an illegal space. While there are different procedures in place throughout the UK, chances are your towed car has been taken to a local impound site. Calling 101 and asking for the local police station will establish where your towed car has been taken. Alternatively, you can locate the nearest impound by searching your postcode on the Car Tax Enforcement website.
