Just days after the Maruti Baleno’s sales crossed the 4-lakh sales milestone, the Maruti Vitara Brezza is in the news. The sub-4m SUV has achieved the fastest 3-lakh sales mark in its segment, clocking it in just 28 months.The Maruti Vitara Brezza’s market launch was in March 2016, a month after its world premiere at Auto Expo 2016. By March 2017, its sales had crossed 1,00,000 units. The sales rapidly increased later. By May 2018, 2,75,000+ units were sold. The top-end ZDi and ZDi+ grades accounted for 56% of the sales. For the first time in a single month, Bajaj Auto has crossed cumulative sales of over 70,000 units with the Bajaj Pulsar range in the country.The Indian two-wheeler industry saw an increase in the sales of motorcycles across segments as, for the first time, scooter sales went down in the past 18 months. The increase in the sales of the Bajaj Pulsar range is attributed to the launch of the new Pulsar 150 twin disc variant and will only get better with the Pulsar 150 Classic model launched in June at INR 67,437 (ex-showroom, Mumbai). This model is a stripped down version, which comes devoid of the tank cowls, rear disc, graphics and the split-seats.The Bajaj Pulsar portfolio consists of models that range with engine capacities from 135, 150, 160, 180, 200 and 220cc. Sinclair Broadcast Group's billion-dollar bet on seven ABC affiliates and a regional news network in Washington, D.C., hinges on a plan to transform that network into a national enterprise.Sinclair would use NewsChannel 8 to create a unique hybrid model for cable television news, blending national and international coverage with local news customized for each market.But the channel's success is far from certain, broadcast experts say, and depends on many unknowns, including Sinclair's ability to persuade cable operators to carry the network and the appetite of viewers and advertisers for more news."It's tough getting a channel like that off the ground," said Michael Malone, deputy editor at the trade publication Broadcasting & Cable. The Bajaj Dominar 400 is one of the most effective, affordable motorcycle for long distance touring in the Indian market.
