It looks seriously trendy inside and out, like a concept that has been lifted straight from the designer’s sketch pad and straight into production unaltered. So, the new 3008 has got the look and it’s also managed to bag the European Car of The Year Award. Even before the award was handed out the 3008 had 100,000 registered pre-orders many of whom had never bought a Peugeot before. But we must look at the cold hard … [Read more...] about Peugeot 3008, GT Line, Review
The list below has been carefully selected to show you the most exciting rides that never hit the production line. These 5 ridiculous concept cars will make you wonder how many other cool exotic cars never made it to the streets. 5. Peugeot 20Cup Reading about the Peugeot 20Cup’s history is just about as amusing as looking at it. It’s a three-wheeled concept that mated the front of a Peugeot 207, including drivetrain, to the rear of a motorcycle; unfortunately as the 207 was FWD, that meant that the rear wheel—attached with a single-sided swingarm—wasn’t even driven. Boo. The concept was produced in a pair but an overzealous French journalist crashed one at Mortefontaine, a test track near Paris. Jean-Christophe Bolle-Reddat, the creator of the Peugeot 20Cup, even toyed with the idea of creating a race series especially for the little tadpole. Thankfully, that never fleshed out. 4. GENEVA, Switzerland — When you consider all the spectacular new sports cars and supercars and daring concepts that make their debuts at the Geneva motor show every year, it’s easy to forget the output of one entire country, even though they come closest, after the Swiss cottage-shop brands, to being the local industry. I’m talking about the French brands, of course: Peugeot, Citroen, and Renault. Opel/Vauxhall, which PSA Peugeot-Citroen purchased from General Motors last year, was absent from the 2018 Geneva International Motor Show. Meanwhile, both the Peugeot and Citroen stands emphasized new and updated models. Peugeot showcased its new 508 midsize sedan and its new MPV, which for lack of a better comparison, could be France’s Chrysler Pacifica, while Citroen showed off its face-lifted Cactus crossover/wagon and a new Berlingo MPV. Which will come to the U.S. when Peugeot-Citroen returns (with just one brand) in a few years? This year’s show … [Read more...] about Peugeot, Citroen, and Renault at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show
