Nice Price Or Crack Pipe Is this used car a good deal? You decide! The dealer selling today’s Nice Price or Crack Pipe C63 says in its ad that the car is FAST FAST FAST. That’s entirely possible, but what we’re here to decide is if its price is too HIGH HIGH HIGH. Think a minute about Moe Sizlack, The Simpson’s choleric drink slinger. Here’s a guy who has a stable job, a seemingly functioning libido, and a full head of hair. Still, owing to his unpalatable appearance and odious personality he’s condemned to a life alone, knowing neither kindness nor the warmth of another’s love without monetary compensation. That’s sort of how I think yesterday’s 2003 Pontiac Aztek must feel. Little loved when new, the oddly styled sort-of mini van hasn’t really gained any fans as it has aged. Even less popular perhaps was the $6,000 price tag affixed to that tent carrying edition, as it fell in an 83 percent Crack Pipe loss. Mercedes-AMG rules out the idea of building a super SUV with the Black Series badging. The leading position on the AMG ranking is reserved strictly for the two-door models. The AMG boss Tobias Moers was the man to confirm that there will be no high-ride Black Series in the portofolio of the Affalterbach-based power house, in an interview for AutoGuide, at the New York Auto Show. “No, no, no, no… never. Black Series is for the racetrack”, was his definite reaction, when asked if the super sports SUV was part of the company’s plan, thus restricting the special series to the two-door cars, even though Jaguar Land Rover is planning on a rollcage-equipped SUV, especially trained to take on the Nurburgring. The AMG Black Series has been the most extreme vehicles manufactured by Mercedes until today. The supreme power was granted to only one model at a time and the list includes the SLK, the CLK, the SL, the C-Class and the SLS. All of them have been coupes with … [Read more...] about No Black Series SUV, says Mercedes-AMG
Mercedes-AMG is dedicated to making ever more powerful and capable performance machines. Those include high-powered versions of Benz’s crossovers and SUVs. But the top rung on the AMG ladder is reserved strictly for two-door models. This according to AMG boss Tobias Moers, who spoke to AutoGuide on the future of the Black Series at the New York Auto Show last week. Asked if Affalterbach would ever do a Black Series sport-ute, Moers reportedly laughed: “No, no, no, no…never. Black Series is for the racetrack.” And that means two doors only. For those unacquainted, the AMG Black Series has constituted the most extreme performance Mercedes to date. The stripped-out, amped-up treatment has been applied, one model at a time, to the SLK, CLK, SL, C-Class, and SLS. They’ve all been two-door coupes, with the folding hardtops on the SLK and SL replaced with fixed tops. The SLS AMG Black Series was the last to be introduced, back in 2013. But that entire model line … [Read more...] about Mercedes-AMG Says It’ll Never Do A Black Series SUV
