Overview (Final Score: A-) The all-new 2019 Acura RDX is a roomy 2-row, five-passenger crossover. For the new model year, Acura made the RDX longer and wider and increased its footprint substantially. This is an all-road crossover, not an off-roader built for mud and rocks. Acura positions its RDX in the premium segment, rather than the full-luxury market. Generally, this is where those shopping upscale can find the best value, but with the mainstream brands offering more and more content for less, that is now debatable. What isn’t is that the new RDX is hard to top if one’s priorities include a sporty ride and a modern feel. Go straight to the full review. Now in its mid-teens, the Infiniti QX80 is a large luxury sport utility vehicle with three rows of seating and a dual personality. It has many creature comforts and plenty of driving nimbleness for a heavyweight people mover. But it also has ruggedness to spare. Formerly called the QX56, a reference to its 5.6-liter engine, the QX80 designation on recent years’ models corresponds to nothing more than a new name. By whatever name, the monster SUV holds the unique distinction for the upscale division of Nissan. It was the first Infiniti, which debuted in 1989, built in the United States. The 2019 edition features improvements, as have other recent years’ offerings. A vast upgrade was done inside and outside last year, including a retuned suspension and increased insulation. But this year’s model is overall the same generation introduced in 2011. Aligning with the industry trends, 2019 QX80 improvements include standard safety features such as automatic emergency … [Read more...] about 2019 Infiniti QX80 classy, rugged, versatile SUV
DC Design is quite popular in the Indian market for its off-beat designs. Here is a Toyota Fortuner modified by the North East wing of DC Motors and it sure looks brutal in its new clothes. The modification job is based on the older-generation Toyota Fortuner. It is quite different from the Toyota Fortuner modified by DC earlier. It gets a new grille with elements made inside it. The all-black grille gets the DC logo on it. There is also a huge scoop placed on the bonnet of the Fortuner that gives it the masculine look. But it looks a bit overdone. Moving to the sides, the Fortuner gets flared wheel arches that get bolt-on to get the massive look. They actually increase the width of the Toyota Fortuner and make it look even more intimidating on the road. At the rear, the only changes are the DC logo and the blacked out chrome parts. Also, it gets an aftermarket bumper at both front and rear. The modified DC Design Fortuner looks different and will attract a lot of attention on the road … [Read more...] about Modified Toyota Fortuner from DC Design looks BRUTISH!
Of all the vehicles Audi offers right now, and they offer a lot, the A5 Coupe is quite possibly my favorite, I would choose it over the TT and the R8 although admittedly the latter would be a tough call. The A5 was designed by famed auto designer Walter De Silva, former Head of Design of the VW group, it happens to be his favorite too. The collective opinion (among the motoring hack fraternity) is that the A5 looks plain and yes they are correct, but it’s that simplicity that makes it work so well. It is that simplicity that served the A5 graciously for 9 years and it only required a plethora of periodic facelifts and updates in between. After 9 years Audi made ready an all new, second generation for 2016. The design changes are mildly evolutionary with the key difference being that the A5 is now built on a larger and lighter platform, that in turn means the A5 is now slightly longer and wider than the first generation. The interior is impeccably well designed, presented and … [Read more...] about Audi A5 Has Always Been Classy, Now It’s Effortlessly Classy
Tweet TweetWhether you went to Frankfurt Motor Show this year or not, you should know that Ferrari’s stand was one of the most exquisite around. After all, it was kind of obvious that its cars will be among the main attractions of the show due to the personalization of the new California T. It has two new models now, and one of them is incredibly close to being one of the most beautiful cars of Ferrari. Not only does it have a marvelous black color with a strong gloss, but it is also associated with the famous 1957 Ferrari 250 TR. And we all know how popular that car was in the Buenos Aires race some years ago. So both the exterior and the interior were designed to look classy and irresistible. The bodywork contains velvet parts that offer the new model of California T a unique contrast of colors. The wheels contain the same red shade as well, and so does the interior. However, it consists of both black leather and extensive Rosso Cremisi at the same time. Again, the contrast … [Read more...] about California T Special Gets an Irresistible Design Debuting at 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show
