Motor1.com sits down with one of the world's top stunt drivers. It's a dream job — spinning, sliding, jumping, and crashing cars on the sets of the biggest film and TV productions and in front of live audiences all over the world. Chris Morena is one man who is living that dream. Morena's credits include the fourth Transformers film and the famous final episode of the hit TV series Breaking Bad, but it is as one of the world's leading stunt drivers where the New York native made his name. He began his career in the 1990s, training in Connecticut, before becoming a part of the touring Hollywood Stunt Show that was backed by Toyota, and later Ford. 'I worked nine seasons with Toyota and then Ford, and literally worked from the ground up,' Morena recalled. 'I washed the cars, I [then] started doing some of the easier stunts, then five years later I started doing the car driving and car crashes. That was a seasonal gig, we'd go to state and county fairs in America and we'd put … [Read more...] about From Mickey Mouse to muscle cars
Motor1 takes a sneak peek at the all-new 'car theatre' show. The Arrow McLaren SP-Chevrolet driver, who last year finished fourth in his first full season in IndyCar, nailed his first win at this level with victory in the second round of Texas Motor Speedway’s double-header on Sunday. O’Ward, who turns 22 tomorrow, was asked afterward if his triumph might help IndyCar return to his homeland. “I sure hope so,” said the 2018 Indy Lights champion. “I don't think just one win will do it. I think if we're consistently championship contenders, if we win a couple more, I think that will definitely help the chances of a bit more. That's the goal. “I always tell everybody, ‘If we go back to Mexico, it's going to be a sold out event and it's going to be awesome!’ We just have to get into the process as soon as we can.… “I feel like there is nothing better than the Mexican fans. There is so much life and energy, especially for their fellow countrymen. It's really cool. “We always want to see more. I feel like we have so much potential … [Read more...] about O’Ward: A Mexican IndyCar race would be “sold out”

The Belgian, who will work as an external technical adviser, officially joined the Alzenau-based squad this week. The move brings to an end a successful 19-year spell Loriaux enjoyed with former employer M-Sport Ford who has already started the process of trying to shore up its research and development operations by recruiting a senior designer. In his role with Hyundai Motorsport, Loriaux will spearhead the development of its 2022 hybrid-powered Rally1 car.
