Kerbs … [Read more...] about Analyse: De factoren die het leven van Flörsch hebben gered

Not just something heard through the grapevine. Grapes are about to have another extremely desirable use, aside from being turned into wine and eaten as a fruity snack, and it has to do with road safety and sustainability. Once winter comes along, many parts of the country are subject to constant snowfall and cold temperatures that could lead to some nasty ice formation on major roadways. Naturally, snow clearing and de-icing operations take place around the clock, clearing up the roads and making them safe and passable again. The problem is, apparently traditional methods of snow and ice clearing cost the United States about 5-billion USD a year, all because of the damage done to the roads and environment. According to Washington State University, grapes are the answer, plus some additional agricultural waste. It's not the grapes, per se, but their skins that form part of an extract that outperforms commonly used de-icers, including road salt and the supposedly … [Read more...] about New Research Says Grapes Will De-Ice Roads Better Than Salt
Heavy modifications are needed so Tesla could sell the Cybertruck in the Old Continent. A lot has been said about the futuristic design of the Cybertruck. While those are just fine because everyone's entitled to their own opinion, there's one thing that Tesla should address in order for the company to sell the fully electric pickup truck – and that is its legality on the road. With that said, we've already imagined what the Cybretruck would look like if it were to be redesigned as a road-legal production truck. With the addition of side mirror cameras (currently not legal in the U.S. as of this writing), headlight clusters, smaller tires, windshield wipers, and rounder edges, this rendering of the Cybertruck could be the production version of the Tesla truck. However, this version of the Cybertruck could still flunk European standards in terms of safety, more so with the one that Tesla presented during its reveal. In fact, in order for the Cybertruck to … [Read more...] about Tesla Cybertruck Totally Not Certifiable In Europe, Says Expert
Do you agree? Jeep aims to be the "greenest SUV brand" in the world – that's a claim that its new global president, Christian Meunier, has claimed in relation to the brand's push for electrification. However, Meunier isn't stopping at being the greenest. During a Gladiator drive in New Zealand, the former Infiniti president told Australia's Motoring that future electric Jeeps will be "the Jeeps ever built." He continues on and claimed that Jeep EVs will be "the best product ever," and that they will retain their emotional trait as off-roading SUVs. Engineering Explained tackles the commonly asked question. Ever since cars were equipped with components to monitor instantaneous fuel economy, driver and passengers have made it a pastime to get that number to read as high as possible. Yes, there are also those who revel in seeing how long that number can stay low, but even the most die-hard horsepower junkies love to watch that instant mpg figure climb, especially while rolling down a big hill. To do so, you just throw the car into neutral and let it coast down the hill with the engine at idle, right? Actually, that’s probably not the best way to get the biggest return, whether you have an automatic or a manual transmission. It might seem like a no-brainer to most, but Engineering Explained took a Subaru Crosstrek out to some hills, and with our familiar narrator at the wheel, talked about why leaving the car in gear is actually going to be better in the long run.
