It looks ready for an adventure. The Porsche Cayenne isn’t the first SUV one thinks of when considering an off-road vehicle. However, the model has an illustrious history of playing well in the dirt. Porsche took the first-gen Cayenne rally racing over a decade ago, winning the Transsyberia Rally in 2007 and 2008. Porsche produced just 26 examples of the rally king , though a tribute version is now for sale on CarsandBids.com, and it looks ready for an adventure. The tribute Cayenne is a 2005 turbo model that comes equipped with some impressive standard kit. It features the Advanced Off-Road Technology Package that includes locking center and rear differentials and hydraulically activated front and rear sway par disconnects. Other goodies include both the Porsche Active Suspension and Porsche Traction Management systems. The SUV also has a ton of upgrades that help it achieve its rugged look. It wears a three-inch suspension lift paired with a sub-frame drop, aluminum … [Read more...] about This Porsche Cayenne Is A Stunning Transsyberia Tribute You Can Buy
We think it will be badged as a Stepway model to highlight its ruggedness. With the Volkswagen Group deciding to push Skoda upmarket, Dacia has remained the last bastion of low-cost transportation in Europe. The latest-generation Logan sedan and Sandero supermini are more expensive than they used to be due to added equipment and modern underpinnings, but in the grand scheme of things, they're still cheap as chips. For those in need of extra practicality on a tight budget, Dacia is working on a new wagon expected to replace not just the Logan MCV but also the Lodgy minivan. Considering how tall the roof is and the sheer size of the tailgate, some might wonder whether there will also be a commercial version to succeed the Dokker. However, spy shots have revealed that will be a separate model . Taylor lapped the #10 Wayne Taylor Racing-run Cadillac DPi-V.R in 1m53.058s, and despite his dominance the battle for second behind him was intense between Jose Gutierrez (PR1/Mathiasen Ligier), Scott Sharp’s Nissan DPi, Marc Goossens (Ligier), Johannes van Overbeek (Nissan) and Eric Curran (Action Express Cadillac). Taylor said: “The car was just beautiful, but I think tomorrow will be a different story. There’s a lot of good cars out there. We’ve had a few frights about how we can lose points recently, and we want to wrap this championship up as soon as possible – that’s the big goal. “We’ve been lower downforce than Daytona at every track this year [due to performance balancing], and normally Daytona is as low as you can go, but our guys keep finding ways of going fast.” Christian Fittipaldi will start the #5 Action Express Cadillac from down in seventh, ahead of Misha Goikhberg’s JDC-Miller Oreca LMP2. Daytona Beach, Fla. – Luis Felipe “Pipo” Derani made a good first impression at Daytona International Speedway on Sunday, running the fastest lap of the three-day Roar Before the Rolex 24 At Daytona test, the opening event on the 2016 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship schedule. Derani turned a lap of 1:39.249 (129.130 mph) in the No. 2 Tequila Patrón ESM Ligier JS P2 co-driven by Scott Sharp, Ed Brown and Johannes van Overbeek. The 22-year-old Brazilian knocked the similar No. 60 Honda-powered Ligier JS P2 of Ozz Negri, John Pew and AJ Allmendinger from the top after the Michael Shank Racing with Curb/Agajanian trio led much of the three-day test. “I really did not expect be here (atop the speed chart),” Derani said. “This is my first time at Daytona, and it’s a unique place with a lot of history. It’s a pleasure to be part of this event for the first time. This is my first time doing sports car racing in the U.S., and I’m having fun.” Oliver Gavin was quickest in … [Read more...] about Honda Prototype sets fastest lap in final minutes of Roar Before The Rolex 24
Yes, we heard you. The new generation of the Civic isn't for everyone. Truth be told, the new generation Honda Civic is receiving some serious backlash in terms of its exterior styling. The understatement has practically turned the previously boy-racer-type sedan into a mature-looking smaller brother of the Honda Accord . It's like the nameplate is all grown-up now ready to suit up for the corporate world. While some people (like myself) aren't entirely offended by this move, we've seen others who have been bashing the automaker for this design direction. So much so that unofficial requests for redesign have been thrown around – and TheSketchMonkey on YouTube has answered the call. Gallery: 2022 Honda Civic Sedan 16 Photos The 14-minute sped-up process saw changes including some tweaks on the 11th-generation Civic's nose and a resize of the lower … [Read more...] about Does This Honda Civic Redesign Attempt Suit Your Taste Now?
