Angelo Iannone has been helping his brother during race weekends throughout his career, as well as taking on managerial duties for Andrea . He has now oversee Moto3 regular Fenati , who is currently without a ride for 2020. Fenati entered Moto2 last year after six seasons in Moto3, but was disqualified and stripped of his ride for pulling Stefano Manzi 's brake lever at Misano. Returning to Moto3 this year, Fenati was able to win in Austria in what has otherwise been a difficult campaign. The Italian has been trying to get back to Moto2 for 2020 and he's been linked to Gresini, which still has a free seat next to the recently confirmed Nicolo Bulega . Fenati's new link-up with the Iannone brothers further strengthens the ties to the outfit, given that Andrea Iannone rides for the Gresini-run Aprilia factory MotoGP outfit. "I like Romano, [I've known him] from I think [when] Romano was five-six years old and raced with pocket bikes," said Andrea … [Read more...] about Iannone brothers to manage Fenati
From pole position, Ricky Taylor’s #10 Wayne Taylor Racing-run Cadillac DPi-V.R led from Jose Gutierrez (PR1/Mathiasen Ligier), and the Nissan DPis of van Overbeek/Derani and Scott Sharp/Ryan Dalziel. Gutierrez lost pace at the end of his first stint, allowing both Nissans, Eric Curran’s Action Express Cadillac, and the LMP2s of Marc Goossens and Misha Goikhberg ahead. A full-course caution was called with 55 minutes remaining, as the #24 BMW stopped on the entry to pitlane, which evaporated Jordan Taylor’s 6s lead over Dalziel. Taylor only just beat the Nissans out of the pits, with Derani briefly jumping ahead but being told to give back the position. Stephen Simpson, sharing the JDC-Miller Oreca with Goikhberg, didn’t pit and restarted in the lead as Derani passed Taylor for second. Derani quickly closed on the off-sequence Simpson, but couldn’t find a way past despite drawing alongside a couple of times. A late-race yellow, caused by Andy Lally crashing his … [Read more...] about Road America IMSA: ESM Nissan beats Taylor brothers’ Cadillac
Six-time MotoGP world champion Marquez returned to action after a nine-month injury layoff last time out in Portugal, qualifying sixth and riding to seventh in the race. That was the best result for a Honda rider so far in 2021, with Espargaro managing an eighth in the Qatar GP as he continues to adapt to the RC213V after a limited pre-season. LCR’s Alex Marquez admitted in Portugal that his brother was already showing the other Honda riders the way to ride the bike, while Espargaro noted his return was “important” for the team. However, he doesn’t feel his own results this season on the Honda will be bound to how well Marquez is doing on the same bike. “I think when one is fast in the team it puts pressure on all the rest,” Espargaro said when asked if Marquez’s return brought added pressure. “At the end my pressure does not change because Marc is doing better or worse results. “I mean, I think the one who is putting pressure on myself is me. I’m just … [Read more...] about Espargaro: I don’t need Marquez to show how fast I am in MotoGP

Renault has disclosed plans to introduce a second world premiere in Geneva next month which will share the spotlight with the already confirmed 2016 Scenic . The company with the diamond logo says that it has two all-new compact models for Geneva and since we already know the Scenic will be there, chances are the other one is the Megane Sport Tourer . Numerous spy photos have shown the model is ready to show its production face as a more practical brother of the Megane hatchback. The five-door hatch looks miles better than its predecessor and one can assume it will be the same story with the wagon. It’s all about cargo capacity with this body style and we expect the Megane Sport Tourer to offer around 19.4 cubic feet (550 liters) since the hatchback has 15.3 cu. ft. (434 liters) with the rear seats in place. The … [Read more...] about Renault plans second Geneva premiere, likely Megane Sport Tourer
Yes, we heard you. The new generation of the Civic isn't for everyone. Truth be told, the new generation Honda Civic is receiving some serious backlash in terms of its exterior styling. The understatement has practically turned the previously boy-racer-type sedan into a mature-looking smaller brother of the Honda Accord . It's like the nameplate is all grown-up now ready to suit up for the corporate world. While some people (like myself) aren't entirely offended by this move, we've seen others who have been bashing the automaker for this design direction. So much so that unofficial requests for redesign have been thrown around – and TheSketchMonkey on YouTube has answered the call. Gallery: 2022 Honda Civic Sedan 16 Photos The 14-minute sped-up process saw changes including some tweaks on the 11th-generation Civic's nose and a resize of the lower … [Read more...] about Does This Honda Civic Redesign Attempt Suit Your Taste Now?
