"Until we have to pick up our kids from school," Ratliff, 42, said to roars of laughter from her friends gathered around a roulette table. If its two-year absence from the Formula 1 calendar had led to any of the 20 drivers forgetting or underestimating the magnitude of the challenge that F1’s original night race poses, then the 2022 Singapore Grand Prix weekend will have left them all in no doubt. They're on a tingly, post-performance high, having just watched him dance Basilio in Houston Ballet's Don Quixote, where a good number in the packed house gasped, grabbed their armrests and finally launched themselves from their seats to bellow "Bravo!" Some of them cried. The ballet neophytes say they've never seen anything like it. The aficionados begin their assessment with these three words: "Not since Baryshnikov." "You've heard of Air Jordan? It will retain the turbocharged 1.8-liter gasoline engine of the S version, a four-pot mill inherited from the Renault Megane RS hot hatchback. A previous teaser revealed the output won't change as the mid-engined coupe will pack the same 300 hp and 251 lb-ft (340 Nm). Even so, it'll be quicker in terms of acceleration while having a higher top speed. While the S is advertised with a 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) sprint in 4.2 seconds, the R will drop below the four-second mark. Published on social media, a short clip shows the spicy coupe on a dyno completing the sprint in 3.9 seconds. It makes it only half a second slower than a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS . … [Read more...] about Alpine A110 R Teased With 0 To 62 MPH Acceleration In 3.9 Seconds
