As many as 50 people are dead after an abandoned tractor-trailer was found in southwest San Antonio Monday evening, and more than a dozen were rushed to nearby hospitals. They are all believed to be undocumented migrants. "This is nothing short of a horrific tragedy," San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg told reporters. "Our job is not to ask why. Our job is to ask how we can help. That's why you're seeing medical assistance. As far as the federal investigation goes, that's in the hands of the feds. I'm sure there will be more questions and hopefully some answers as we move forward." On Twitter, Nirenberg posted: "Migrants seeking asylum should always be treated as a humanitarian crisis, but this evening we're facing a horrific human tragedy." He also urged Texans to "think compassionately, pray for the deceased, the ailing, and their families at this moment." Pirelli look to ease understeer with tougher 2023 tyres
Pirelli have identified measures to help improve their tyre offerings for 2023, as they aim to reduce understeer characteristics. The tyre manufacturer have outlined how they intend to create a tweaked product for next season, aimed at reducing the understeer characteristics that the current cars have to cope with. F1’s new revolutionary regulations for this season have seen a complete change of philosophy, moving from a predominant over-body aerodynamic philosophy to one of ground effect – put simply, the cars are now sucked down onto the ground moreso than being pushed down. However, the philosophy change has had some side effects, given the change in characteristics on how the cars drive. Slow speed understeer is particularly prevalent now, given the reduced effect as a car slows down, while the cars have also gotten heavier – mostly due to the introduction of more stringent safety measures. With understeer now the dominant characteristic of many of the front-running cars, … [Read more...] about Pirelli look to ease understeer with tougher 2023 tyres

The car carried the number 42 which was the number used by Montoya during most of his time in NASCAR after leaving F1. “It really was incredible to see that you didn’t need the complex preparations we have to make in racing for the 0-400-0 drive,” said Montoya. “With the Chiron, it was all quite easy. Just get in and drive off. Incredible.” The 41-year-old also revealed he did not use a HANS device for the record-breaking run. Bugatti has not announced which driver will be chosen for its attempts to break the record top speed for a production vehicle which is the 431.072kph it recorded with the Veyron 16.4 Super Sport in 2010. … [Read more...] about Pictures: Montoya breaks 400kph record in Bugatti Chiron – F1 Fanatic
Trump sought to lead armed mob to Capitol on Jan. 6, aide says
WASHINGTON -- A former White House official revealed explosive new details Tuesday about President Donald Trump's actions on Jan. 6, 2021, telling Congress that he knew his supporters were carrying weapons, insisted on personally leading the armed mob to the Capitol, physically assailed the senior Secret Service agent who told him it was not possible, expressed support for the hanging of his own vice president, and mused about pardoning the rioters. The testimony of Cassidy Hutchinson, who was an assistant to then-White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, was the most chilling to date in the House select committee's Jan. 6 investigation. Recounting granular detail and private dialogue, she presented to the public a penetrating account of Trump's actions and mind-set as the Capitol came under siege from his own supporters, who were determined to stop the counting of electoral votes and impede the certification of Joe Biden's victory. Testifying alone, her appearance punctuated by … [Read more...] about Trump sought to lead armed mob to Capitol on Jan. 6, aide says

Listen to this article In case you didn't get the memo, good ol' sedans and wagons have fallen out of favor. Crossovers are gradually taking their place, negatively impacting sales of minivans in the process. With demand for traditional body styles declining, automakers are thinking outside the box and this Citroën C4 X is a prime example.
