AN INCREDIBLE Mercedes limo once owned by triple F1 champion Lewis Hamilton has emerged for sale. The famous 2015 Maybach S-Class is just three years old and has been given a value of £104,990 - four times the price of a regular model. The luxury motor, listed on Auto Trader during Hamilton's Azerbaijan Grand Prix win, comes with a host of impressive extras to compliment the already indulgent S-Class saloon. In the front, both the driver and passenger get massage seats, while the driver can enjoy the heated leather and wood multi-function steering wheel. Ex-owner Hamilton is more used to parking in a pit lane or overtaking cars on the race track than on the road so the parking and lane keep assistance systems probably came in handy. But the passenger cabin is where the real luxury lies - ideal for when Lewis wanted to kick back and relax with a chauffeur up front. Both rear passenger seats recline with an emerging foot rest - and have their own TV screens. Fitted with surround … [Read more...] about Lewis Hamilton’s stunning Mercedes-Maybach S-Class limo with TVs and reclining massage seats is up for sale for £100,000
1968 Corvette coupe has already attracted a lot of interest at its bringatrailer.com for sale listing. And for good reason. Orange seems to be a hot color now, what with the 2019 ZR1 being unveiled recently in Sebring Orange. This one has been to the graveyard, so to speak, but is resurrected in its full glory now. After the original 427 spun a bearing, the previous owner bought the car in the early 1990s while a 350 replacement engine was being installed. The current owner bought the car in 2005 and says the original 427 is back under the hood after being rebuilt. Over the past 13 years, the car has covered just 5,000 of the 79,000 miles showing on the odometer. The interior appears to be stock and in excellent condition, other than a tear noted in the driver’s seat vinyl, with the factory AM/FM radio and wood-look steering wheel in place. Of course, the ’68 was the first year for the removable T-tops, which are done in body color, as well as the debut of the removable … [Read more...] about Corvettes for Sale: 1968 Corvette with L68 427/400 V8
For 2019, Mazda seems ready to offer two things MX-5 Miata buyers have long demanded: more power, plus a steering wheel that reaches towards the driver, instead of just tilting. These are big changes for a model where every minor detail is fussed over by engineers and enthusiasts alike. The changes are detailed in a document — apparently originating from Mazda Canada — that details the changes coming for 2019. That doc found its way onto Reddit, which was then shared by joyful members of the Miata.net forum. How does an extra 26 horsepower sound? The document, if accurate, confirms details contained within regulatory docs dug up by Bozi Tatarevic early last month, though Mazda product spokesman Jacob Brown would not comment on the vehicle’s specs, nor on a release date for the 2019 model. Besides the telescoping steering wheel — the first time Mazda has offered such a feature in the MX-5 — the model’s Skyactiv-G 2.0-liter engine … [Read more...] about 2019 Mazda MX-5: More Power and a Steering Wheel That Zooms?
THE steering wheel could be dead within 20 years, according to experts. The interior of cars is set to change forever and sooner than you might think. And that's just one of the huge changes predicted for the future of motoring. Manufacturers like Volkswagen, Renault and Jaguar have already rolled out crazy concepts - and now there's more. Experts at valuations firm HPI have compiled a list of what to expect over the next 80 years. Internet will be standard in cars by 2030 at the latest and virtual co-pilots will take care of parking. Expect to be able to work, socialise and sleep in vehicles within the next 20 years. By then cars will be completely driverless with lounge-like interiors and no need for a steering wheel or pedals. Cabins will feature huge screens so you can watch TV and catch up on e-mails. The future of motoring will also put an end to the driving test - and one of the plagues of buying a car: clocking. Real time mileage streaming will stop scammers being … [Read more...] about The steering wheel will be DEAD in 20 years – and other crazy predictions for driving in the future
