An upcoming issue of Japanese magazine MAG-X reveals that Lexus is considering building a wagon based on the upcoming LS500 model, due to be available in late 2017. However, the wagon would likely follow a year or two later. The “w” suffix has not been used by Lexus in the past, not even with the only other wagon model Lexus has brought to production: the IS300 SportCross, which was offered from 2000-2003. Very little is known about this possible new Lexus wagon, but MAG-X suggests that the new model is meant to provide an upmarket rear-wheel drive luxury alternative to the Lexus RX line without utilizing a harsher-riding truck-based platform. The article suggests that the move is based on strong consumer interest in the Porsche Panamera shooting brake concept, called the Panamera Sport Turismo (pictured), first introduced in 2012 and coming to U.S. showrooms in 2017. The date on the trademark application was February 2017, so there probably will be a … [Read more...] about BREAKING NEWS: Lexus Hints at Upcoming LS-based Wagon!

But Potenza will also able be investing heavily in Westfield, with a plant to bring all the cars produced up to Euro IV emissions legislation. West Midlands-based Westfield was founded in 1982 by owner Chris Smith, initially producing Lotus XI replicas. It has stayed in family ownership ever since, and Smith will continue at Westfield as 'acting technical consultant'. In a statement, Smith said “Escalating costs of automotive development have made it difficult for Westfield to compete on a global level. Backed by the new investors and expertise Westfield will now have the opportunity to introduce new innovation and technology to the kit car and specialist car industry, enabling it to grow to its full potential.” Westfield's new managing director will be Julian Turner, who has previous experience in engineering … [Read more...] about Breaking news – Westfield sold

Ford and National Public Radio have teamed up on a smartphone app that’s compatible with the blue oval’s AppLink connectivity protocol for its voice-activated SYNC infotainment system. The app was launched at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week, and the first dedicated news app for SYNC joins other AppLink-ready applications like Pandora radio and the Openbeak Twitter conduit. The only precedent for a Chinese model overseas was the #1 spot of the Great Wall Wingle last November in New Caledonia, which is actually a … [Read more...] about Best Selling Cars Around The Globe: BREAKING NEWS A Chinese Model in Pole Position For the First Time Outside China
