Small tweaks for one of BMW's most beautiful modern cars. Approximately 48 hours ago, we shared the first spy photos with the updated BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe . Today, the stylish four-door is joined by its sportier 8 Series Coupe sibling which, at least at a glance, appears to be featuring the same visual revisions. Let’s take a deeper look though. This white prototype was photographed testing on public roads somewhere in Germany and it rides with a camouflaged front end. Similar to what we saw on the 8 GC, there appear to be modifications to the bumper and the kidney grille. Another crossover is in the works and it will likely be a B-segment model. Originally announced back in March, the “coupe” version of the Skoda Kodiaq large SUV is going to carry the “GT” suffix based on a roadmap shown recently at a presentation in China. Taking into account it will have a more sloped roofline that will surely eat into the rear headroom (and trunk), there’s a good chance it will be available strictly as a five seater unlike the regular model that you can optionally order with seven seats. One of them is likely the second-gen Yeti while the other is possibly a smaller model. A couple of interesting slideshows have emerged from China showing Skoda’s plans to bolster its SUV portfolio with a strong four-model lineup. One of them has already been revealed: the seven-seat Kodiaq . It seems the model will eventually receive the “coupe” treatment, so expect the roofline to be more raked towards the rear end. That’ll eat into the rear headroom and will likely have a negative impact on the trunk’s capacity as well. It shouldn’t be much of an issue considering the Kodiaq is huge on the inside. Expect a late 2021 arrival for the restyled sedan. The Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe was an odd addition to the automaker’s lineup at a time when crossovers and SUVs continued to dominate. It arrived for the 2019 model year with its sleek coupe-like design drawn onto a four-door sedan, though Mercedes is already ready to give it a refresh. Spy photos reveal the automaker is preparing the model’s mid-cycle refresh, but it appears little is changing. The latest batch of pics shows the AMG GT 63 S variant, which in its current form uses a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 that produces a stout 630 horsepower (437 kilowatts) and 664 pound-feet (900 Newton-meters) of torque. It’s unclear if Mercedes will make any changes, though it could add some mild-hybrid tech to the powertrain. It won't enter production until 2022, so BMW has time to consider the request. BMW never sold an M3 wagon in the United States. That's okay, because BMW never sold an M3 wagon anywhere . Such a creation never emerged from the depths of Munich, but it soon will. BMW announced plans for its first M3 Touring in August 2020, and we've since learned the high-performance long roof won't be sold in the States. At least 4,358 people aren't happy about that, and they're making their displeasure known. That's how many people signed a petition at Change.org in favor of selling the M3 Touring stateside, as of this article posting on March 4, 2021. Kian Alam started the petition not long after the news became official, and it's slowly gained support over the last few months.
