NACA ducts. It needs a couple of NACA ducts. Three would be too many, too 1969 Shelby Mustang. But the two fake black vents on the hood of the 2018 Kia Stinger just don’t cut it and instead imbue this sports sedan with a pretender vibe. But it’s no pretender. The Kia’s hood decoration is just a small gaffe in an otherwise sweet visual and dynamics package that has put the new Korea-built Stinger in the conversation with some of Germany’s best and brightest sporty four-doors. More Will Get the Four We’ve tested a couple of 2018 Stingers before, first a rear-drive example and then another with all-wheel drive. Both cars were top-of-the-line GT models powered by a 365-hp twin-turbo 3.3-liter V-6 and with $50,000 sticker prices. After years of dreaming about it, my wife and I finally bought airfare to New Zealand. Our flight will take us from Los Angeles to Melbourne, Australia, and then onto our final destination of Auckland, New Zealand for a total flight time of just over 24 hours! GMC’s crossovers are shrinking. Following the redesign of the mid-size Acadia, which saw its wheelbase and overall length decrease by more than half a foot each, the redesigned 2018 GMC Terrain’s wheelbase and overall length contract by 5.2 and 3.0 inches. The prior Terrain straddled the line between the compact and mid-size crossover SUV classes, but the second-generation model now sits firmly in the compact category. Despite its smaller footprint, the svelte 2018 Terrain is a far better vehicle than its blocky predecessor. Riding on an all-new chassis shared with the equally fresh Chevrolet Equinox, the Terrain is both lighter and nimbler. This top-of-the-line Terrain Denali with all-wheel drive was a noteworthy 342 pounds less porky than a previous-generation Terrain Denali V-6 AWD that we tested. Turbo Power! Unlike the previous model, which was offered with either a lethargic 182-hp inline-four or a thirsty 301-hp 3.6-liter V-6, the new … [Read more...] about 2018 GMC Terrain 2.0T AWD
