Got My 2017 Duke 390 on 17th March 17. Before starting the ownership experience let me take back in time to understand how and why I selected this bike. I have been residing out of India for last couple of years, And the easy and cheap availability of super bikes there pulled me back to teen age and I decided to go for Biking again, So went to few mechanic shops who sell used bikes there and finally Purchased Sachs X Road 250, Three months later added another to the collection as it was available for a real cheap price because of the history attached to this bike. The bike was Suzuki Intruder VS 1400 97 Model . Yes it seemed quite old. But when I came to know the story, I made the decision. The bike was imported by a person from Dubai in the year 98( Brand New). He rode it for 2.5 Years and fell from the bike once and his leg was badly crushed below the Bike. And the bike got parked in his garage. His wife and mother got really scared after this accident and didn't allowed this man to … [Read more...] about Thread: 2017 Duke 390 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Congrats Bro. Had been waiting for someone to start this ever from the day 1 of launch. You brought a big smile today. Many more congrats and wishing you million miles of ride with this cruiser. Personally I loved Mojo a lot, even was ready to swap my NS with that. But somehow was disappointed with limited availability, price tag and Non-ABS. Anyway, still none has the daring courage to compete this cruiser. Glued to this, Have lots of questions right now, but would be glad if you can share these for now 1. What is the total on-road cost? - Here is the link with the post-5K hike prices - Mahindra Mojo - Buyers Guide 2. Did you get Mahindra discounts? - No discounts, the first batch buyers got a riding jacket and an overnight ride to Chikmagalur on company bikes + extended warranty of 5 years total and 2 year Road Side Assist 3. What would be the riding RPM at about 100 kph in gear 6?. - The sixth gear is almost exactly 18 kilometres per 1000 rpm. So 5K rpm = 90 kmph, 100 comes up … [Read more...] about Thread: Mahindra Mojo Owners Reviews and Experiences
TVS JUPITER Let me to begin by giving a little background on this purchase. We had a Honda Activa for over 7 Years, as it’s getting old my father thought of buying a new Scooter for Urban Commuting. Honda Activa Experience: ++ves A reliable Work horse. Smooth and Good Engine. --ves Ride Quality is bad(No Telescopic Suspension). Medium Handling. Heavy scooter. Poor Service. Primary Requirements: Should be a Reliable one. Ride quality must be good. Should not be a heavy vehicle like Activa.(Since this is for my father, he prefers a light weight Vehicle) Decent after sales and service. Vehicles short listed: Honda Activa - It was already with us for 7 Years + choppy Ride Quality + Weight was enough for us to neglect Activa. TVS Wego - Went for a test ride. Instantly it felt Very light compared to Activa. Ride and Handling was too good. It felt better in all departments in comparison with the Segment Leader - Activa. We almost made up our mind to book it. Until I got to … [Read more...] about Thread: TVS Jupiter Owners Review and Experience
Day 3: Phuentsholing to ...... So, it was a beautiful morning in Phuentsholing. We saddled up and rode towards the Immigration Office. We met a bunch of guys who were agents and helped us to get the permits. While in the Office, some of the officials were interested in exchanging Bhutan Ngultrum with our Rupees. Mossy and I exchanged about 5000 rupees each there, thinking it will be easier for us once we ride more into Bhutan. FYI, Indian Rupees is accepted all over Bhutan. The officials were pretty, hence the exchange :P outside the Hotel We got a call from them at 11AM saying that the Transportation Office is closed and that we won't be able to get out permits. That was another blow to our enthusiasm for the ride. We headed out to the Transportation Office to try our luck again but no matter what we tried, we were unsuccessful. Tried making a few calls to the officials but they all declined since it was not a working day. For three hours we stood there, trying every possible and … [Read more...] about Thread: While Bhutan was playing hard-to-get and Sikkim bro-zoned us, I fell in love with Darjeeling..
Mahindra and Ford have announced they will co-develop a mid-sized SUV based on a Mahindra platform. This car will be sold independently by both companies under separate brands. They have signed five MoUs in which they have also agreed to evaluate co-development of a compact SUV and an electric vehicle, along with sharing powertrain portfolios which includes the supply of Mahindra powertrains to strengthen Ford's product range. These non-binding MoUs mark the strengthening of ties between both companies since first forming an alliance in September 2017 to address global challenges in the auto industry. The main aim of this deal is to accelerate the development of key products for consumers in India and emerging markets. The companies hope to leverage their strengths in the utility vehicle space. They also expect to benefit from Ford's global reach and expertise, and Mahindra's scale in India and its successful operating model. The two companies share a long relationship, they first … [Read more...] about Ford and Mahindra to co-develop SUVs and EVs
