What. A. Rocket. Ever since people have been getting their hands on the 992-generation Porsche 911 Turbo S , the ultimate 911 has been gaining attention in terms of performance, and rightfully so. It has continuously proved that it's worthy of the name, and this latest drag race video is no exception from that. The contenders in the latest Carwow video aren't exactly slackers. The first one is a Nissan GT-R Nismo , also at the top of the Japanese marque's range. The Audi R8's the other one, and we all know that it's practically a tamer Lamborghini Huracan. Gallery: 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S 9 Photos The matchup sounds a bit diverse at an initial glance. O’Ward: Racing Indy was “like driving into a black hole”
The Mexican youngster earned huge praise from rivals, fans and team owners for his first full season in the NTT IndyCar Series, having joined Arrow McLaren SP-Chevrolet with only eight IndyCar races to his name. The 2018 Indy Lights champion took a pole position, four podium finishes and clinched fourth in the championship, showing great pace while avoiding rookie-style errors. However, O’Ward has already cited areas of potential improvement and areas that he and the team should prioritize – and admitted he has much to learn on the oval tracks. “I think I've still a long ways to learn in superspeedways because they’re new to me,” he said. “You just don't learn it from one night to another or from one race to the other. So I think that's where I can see myself improving… I want to be better in just knowing what to expect a little bit more. “Heading into one of those races, for example the Indy 500 [where he finished fifth] or Iowa [where he was robbed of a podium by a slow … [Read more...] about O’Ward: Racing Indy was “like driving into a black hole”

Quintarelli: Nissan hopes depend on all GT-Rs performing
At the halfway point of the season, Quintarelli and his teammate in the #23 NISMO GT-R Tsugio Matsuda are seventh in the standings and 18 points away from the leading Real Racing Honda pair of Bertrand Baguette and Koudai Tsukakoshi. Quintarelli and Matsuda delivered Nissan's revised 2020-spec GT-R its first win at Suzuka, but this remains the only trip to the podium for one of the Yokohama marque's crews this year. The #3 NDDP/B-Max Nissan of Katsumasa Chiyo and Kohei Hirate has not finished higher than sixth so far this year, while Kondo Racing has managed just a single point and Team Impul is the only GT500 crew that hasn't yet registered a top-10 finish. Bourdais, Foyt targeting best title campaign for 19 years
Airton Daré was the last Foyt driver to break into the top 10 in the end of year points standings, on the back of a win at Kansas and a third at Texas, resulting in ninth in the 2002 Indy Racing League – at that time an all-oval series. Since then, the squad owned by Indy car icon A.J. Foyt – seven-time champion and four-time Indy 500 winner – have landed podiums with Darren Manning, Vitor Meira, Mike Conway, Takuma Sato and Tony Kanaan, and Sato scored another victory for the squad at Long Beach in 2013. But the season-long consistency required to finish in the Top 10 has evaded them. However, the hiring of four-time Champ Car title winner and 37-time race winner Bourdais has lit the team’s ambition, and the speed shown in testing has left all involved, including team president Larry Foyt, cautiously optimistic. Said Bourdais: “I think Larry was really kind of hoping for a top 10 in the championship, which when you look at the entry list, is no easy task. Hopefully we … [Read more...] about Bourdais, Foyt targeting best title campaign for 19 years
