The Ford EcoSport has always been one of the most popular offerings by the company in India. The new-gen EcoSport was launched in the country last year. In addition to the design and feature updates, the highlight of EcoSport was the all-new 1.5-litre 3-cylinder Dragon petrol engine, replacing the 4-cylinder unit. And now the company is gearing up to add more features to the Titanium+ variant of the Ford EcoSport, as confirmed to OVERDRIVE by our sources. The subcompact SUV class is exploding, and one of its newest members is actually not so fresh. The 2018 Ford EcoSport has been on sale in Europe for years but is just now making its U.S. debut. Although its cute-ute looks charm from the outside, there are some major problems with Ford's newest import. Related: 2018 Ford EcoSport Starts at $20,990 First, its road manners need work. Its turbocharged 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine has decent power, but lag is excessive. Its ride and handling are major drawbacks, too, with a lot of hop and shimmy over bumps and disconnected feeling steering. Inside, space is tight in both back and front, and although the EcoSport has a nice, high seating position, visibility is compromised at the forward corners due to large front pillars.
