Representing India after a hiatus of two years, Indian rally driver Gaurav Gill clocked a time of 3m32.9s in SS1 - Super Special Kasarani of the World Rally Championship (WRC) Safari Rally Kenya. The driver went on to set the fastest time in the shakedown in the WRC2 grid, 14.1 seconds of  WRC1 driver Sebastien Ogier. Gill was last seen on the WRC2 rally circuit in Turkey and Australia in 2019 and returns to the championship driving the Skoda Fabia Rally 2 with Brazilian co-driver Gabriel. The Safari Kenya rally is considered one of the most onerous rallies in the world, where legends are fighting for the top title.
