Tweet TweetChevrolet’s really adding the plus points to their Camaro and in their latest idea, we’ve heard of the Z28 entering production. The Chevrolet Camaro Z28 will enter production on the very first day of the next year. It’s a product that’s referred to as the HP Edition internally and what it really is all about is more performance. The confirmed for production model will see a Magnetic Ride suspension and some chunky 285F/330R tires to help keep those wheels planted. And driving those magnetically damped wheels will be, as ever, a V8. Not many details available on it yet but we’re told that a 6.2 liter supercharged engine is what is to be expected. Having looked along the GM farm, the best possible candidate engine for this car would be the 6.2 liter LSA motor that currently powers the Cadillac CTS-V. Since in the hot saloon that engine makes some 556 bhp and 551 lb-ft of torque, it’s pretty safe to assume that if this will be the power unit … [Read more...] about 2012 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 will enter production

Tweet TweetWe’re just a day away from the release of one of the most eagerly awaited movies of the science fiction scene of 2011: Transformers 3 – Dark Moon. This blog doesn’t really cover movies that well so I’ll point out how GM is already showcasing their participation to this new film creation. In order to honor what’s possibly the most popular of their presences on screen, General Motors has revealed a real world version of Bumblebee. Hitching up the movie effect showoff of this Camaro is a choice between two sets of 20 or 21 inch, black-painted alloy wheels. Either of them bear considerable resemblance to every 14 year old’s favorite Autobot. Speaking of which, General Motors actually offer some Autobot Shield logos on the center caps and front quarter panels. Destined to further sweeten the deal of owning a Transformers like 2012 Chevrolet Camaro GM’s dealers will also be offering an optional Ground Effect body kit. The interior of the … [Read more...] about 2012 Chevrolet Camaro Transformers Edition reveals itself just before movie
Tweet TweetA 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 just registered a very interesting record for its “breed”, especially in the case of a new car that is soon to be available for a lot less. Sure, it’s the fastest version of the Camaro ever and it may well be one of the fastest pony cars out there but it is still worth a great deal less then a quarter million dollars. What makes this particular 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 that much more special is the fact that it is the very first one to roll off the production lines. Further more, all the money the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 earned at this particular Barret-Jackson auction isn’t going into GM’s already generous bank account. Instead, all the proceeds from auctioning off this special premiere pony car will be headed for the YMCA of Southern Nevada. The link between the YMCA and GM is Greg Heinrich, president of Fairway Chevrolet, a man who has been involved in charitable work for the youngsters for several years now. … [Read more...] about 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 fetches 250.000 dollars at auction
Tweet TweetThe 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is GM’s take on what a muscle car should actually be like instead of offering the Corvette sports car. That said though, the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 does share some technology with the much more expensive Corvette while still maintaining the muscle car ideas of cheap, powerful and striking. I’m afraid that there’s a bit of a problem with the hottest version of the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, it’s apparently trying to break out of the muscle car club. Through this fact is that we’ve found out how GM’s president, Mark Reuss recently confirmed how the ZL1 Camaro can get round the infamous Nurburgring circuit in as little as 7.41.27. It’s not a quick enough lap time to worry any of the German or Italian sports cars but it does give me the feeling that, a bit like the recent versions of the Ford Mustang, it’s attempting to turn into a track day special. That, to me, is almost certainly going to end up … [Read more...] about 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 claims quite the Nurburgring time
Tweet TweetIt’s already the 4th of the month which means most rumor makers or scoop addicts have waken up from alcohol induced comas and hangovers and got to work. This is how we’ve been able to hear that the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro V6 stands at the prospect of 330 horsepower. Well, even though hangovers are over and this is still a rumor, we’ve gotten hold of a lot more details than we had before. Therefore, we’ve seen leaks where there is talk of the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro V6 engine having a codename LFX. That name means more than extra badging under your bonnet. For starters, an LFX V6 will feature 3.6 liters of multitasking ability. According to a raft of reports, the LFX V6 engine from Chevrolet will be able to run on E85, that’ll be ethanol to you and me. Apart from the new fuel capability, the LFX engine calls for a quite a few modifications. The list of mods to be employed by the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro calls for larger heads and exhaust valves, a new … [Read more...] about 2012 Chevrolet Camaro rumored to get more power?
