Jalopnik Reviews All of our test drives in one convenient place. When was the last time you thought about a Nissan 370Z? Sure, it came out a few years ago, but for some reason it seems like the vast majority of people would only answer with "never." It's a little, over-powered, rear-wheel drive monster, and you can get it with a folding roof. So I set out to find what went wrong. (Full disclosure: Nissan wanted me to drive the 370Z Roadster so bad that I told Travis I needed to get some errands done and is there a car that needs reviewing, he said that we could do the 370Z, Nissan said okay and then they dropped it off at my apartment with a full tank of gas. That was nice of them.) I've tried to think of all the celebrated mid-priced sports cars of the past few years. The Porsche Cayman. The WRX STi. Various low-end AMG models. The BMW M Shoe. Camaros and Mustangs. The Toyobaru Twins. But the poor, lonely Z-car looks to be ignored. Sure, we've written about new trim levels and a … [Read more...] about 2015 Nissan 370Z Roadster: The Jalopnik Review

What’s not to like about a roadster — the aesthetic of two doors, cockpit simplicity, along with balanced handling and a visceral connection to the road, all of which combine to create a stimulating driving experience. The 2019 Nissan 370Z Roadster, with 332 hp, offers all of the above; however, cold water was thrown on my enthusiasm when I realized our test model had an automatic transmission. Yes, the Z has paddle shifters, and an automatic is more efficient and quicker than a manual transmission. But the driving experience is not the same. No automatic or “manualmatic” system comes close to the experience of dropping into second gear, releasing the clutch and railing a corner. I get that working a clutch is not for everybody, but unfortunately, one has to give up the convertible Z, as the six-speed manual transmission is available only with the coupe. After pushing my transmission disappointment aside, the rear-wheel-drive Z has a balanced performance character … [Read more...] about James ‘Whitey’ Bulger dead, had been moved to W. The welcomed sharp steering and somewhat of a raw driving experience has paid dividends for a vehicle platform that hasn’t been changed much from its … [Read more...] about 2019 Nissan 370Z Roadster Quick Spin Test Drive Review

A true landmark in the world of sports cars, the 350Z, or Z33, gave consumers an affordable high-performance vehicle straight from space. Although many details have been refined in the 370Z (and some lost in the wind), it’s predecessor remains an enduring value with historic oomph – a fact unfortunately marred by a long list of dead drivers. Yes, the car’s unsafe. You’re here to know why owners continue to nod to Nissan, and why you shouldn’t care about such details at the dealership. For starters, you receive maximum enjoyment from cost-effective performance results. Snatch a Nissan 350Z for sale and experience: The 3.5L V6 If you never heard the word, Nissan’s VQ35 V6 received a few mind-altering adjustments before 370Zs took the torch.
