* Sale of some units, individual road projects considered * Board to submit proposal to appellate tribunal on Wednesday (Adds details on company assets, shareholding, background) By Nidhi Verma NEW DELHI, Oct 30 (Reuters) - The Indian government is considering putting Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Service Ltd (IL&FS) up for sale or divesting some of its assets as it seeks to end the company’s debt crisis, a person with direct knowledge of the matter said on Tuesday. The government, in a rare move, took control of IL&FS this month after the company defaulted on some of its debt, triggering fears of contagion across India’s financial system. The government-appointed board plans to propose a sale of the whole firm, some of its units or individual road projects, according to the source, who did not want to be named before the proposals are submitted to the National Company Law Tribunal on Wednesday. It could take six to nine months to fully address the … [Read more...] about UPDATE 1-Indian government may put IL&FS up for sale, among other…

Councillor Debbie Coyle said some of her constituents had complained that noise from a 300-strong parade in the Co Fermanagh town last month had prevented them hearing the priest at a confirmation service for 100 local children. Speaking at a council meeting this week, councillor Coyle said: "As this band was going passed St Michael's, it … [Read more...] about Sinn Fein councillor ‘won’t report Scouts’ for parade clash with service in chapel
2018 Indian Scout Bobber first ride review
Bobbers have given 'stripping it down' a whole new meaning. Well, on a serious note the Indian Scout Bobber is the latest addition to the list of Bobbers or chopped, middleweight cruiser-esque motorcycles in the country. We have the Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight and Triumph Bonneville Bobber on sale already, and I have to say the Indian Scout Bobber is yet another interesting addition to the list. I say so because I for one wasn't expecting Indian Motorcycles to 'do' a Bobber considering how the brand has stuck with cruiser/touring format at least since Polaris took over. The Indian Scout Bobber is the newest 'Bobber' to get launched in the country. Bobbers are a sub-segment of cruiser motorcycles that are essentially stripped down to the bare minimum including chopped fenders, short handlebars; most Bobbers are also devoid of a pillion seat But Indian Motorcycles has executed the Bobber well and I am impressed with the design. A chopped front fender and fat front tyre are de rigueur … [Read more...] about 2018 Indian Scout Bobber first ride review
Indian Scout Sixty longterm review: After 9,787km and three months
The guilt of having a cruiser in my garage but not being able to take it out on long rides finally got the better of me. It's been a couple of months since the Scout Sixty joined our long term fleet but I'd only been using it for commuting to office and that's something that was gnawing at me. Of course, the wife did her bit in pushing me to stop lamenting and go out for a ride by asking me, "If you can wake up early morning to catch flights - something you despise - why can't you wake up early on Saturday mornings and go for a ride, especially since that's something you want to do so badly?" That was it. So one of my new year resolutions was to wake up early morning on Saturdays instead of lazing in bed, go out for breakfast rides. And the Scout Sixty has been a rather likeable steed for the purpose. In fact, the early morning rides have worked well for the bike and me both. I've come back home after the rides feeling refreshed and relaxed, with a recharged mind, free my brain … [Read more...] about Indian Scout Sixty longterm review: After 9,787km and three months
