Every Friday, Chron's food team shares a standout dish from their experiences dining out during the week. Follow along to see why we love these Houston eats. The eat: Blacksmith's Vietnamese steak and eggs ($15) I am constantly battling the challenge of finding a coffee shop where I love both the coffee and the food menu. Some places have a brew I can't live without, but a sad version of avocado toast, and others have the breakfast tacos I need in my life, but a lackluster coffee bar. And don't get me started on an only-pastry program—this coffee addict needs a savory bite. Despite the plethora of coffee shops in every neighborhood around town, I find myself returning time and time again to Blacksmith in Montrose, where both the eats and drinks have been unparalleled for 10 years, thanks to longtime coffee guru David Buehrer, and talented chef Erin Smith Feges, who created the shop's opening menu. Wayfair cutting about 870 jobs, or 5% of global workforce

Wayfair is cutting about 870 employees, or 5% of its global workforce, as part of a plan previously announced by the home goods company to manage operating costs and realign its investment priorities after the pandemic. With millions sheltering at home in 2020, the Boston company reported 55% sales growth as families spent heavily to furnish living rooms and other parts of the house. Last year, as more people ventured out, sales at Wayfair declined 3.1%. Wayfair Inc. expects costs related to the job cuts to run between $30 million and $40 million in the third quarter, mostly related to employee severance and benefits. The company said that it's also in the process of making substantial cuts to third party labor costs as well. Shares tumbled 13% in Friday morning trading. Business What Is “Quiet Quitting”?
