Most drivers admit to speeding, so it comes as little surprise a lot of people have tickets on their driving record. Insurify used this information to compile a list of the vehicles with the most speeding tickets. While the study looked at over 1.6 million applications for car insurance, it found most speeders didn’t own high-performance cars. Instead, many of the models were fairly mainstream. Without further ado, let’s jump into the numbers. Coming in first was the Subaru WRX as 20.12% of owners had at least one speeding ticket on their record. That’s nearly twice the average of 11.28%. The second car was also sporty, but not quite a powerhouse as it’s the old Scion FR-S. 19.09% of owners have at least one speeding ticket on their record. Continuing down the list is the Volkswagen Golf GTI. Nearly 17% of owners have been ticketed for speeding in the mild hatch which slots between the standard model and the high-performance Golf R. Fourth place goes to a … [Read more...] about Over 20% Of Subaru WRX Owners Have Been Ticketed For Speeding
It’s true that there’s been no shortage of videos from the Goodwood Festival of Speed during the past couple of weeks, but if you’re a fan of sports cars with huge amounts of power and drivers with amazing skills, we think you’ll really appreciate this one. That’s because it shows a Dodge Viper drift car snaking its way up the famous British hillclimb – in the wet! He was even brave enough to slide the car through the difficult flint wall section of the course, clearly not concerned with what could have gone wrong if he was a little over-zealous with the throttle. While it may not seem like we’re there yet on a larger scale, automakers have already been at the sporty-looking SUV game for a while now. The Cayenne is a perfect example, as it is undeniably a Porsche-styled SUV, period. Same with the Lamborghini Urus – you can definitely see the Aventador inside it waiting to break free, despite its size. In the near future, there will also be a Ferrari SUV, but not before Ford comes out with a Mustang-derived fully electric crossover of their own. So where does that leave GM or FCA? Since Ford went with the Mustang, we could argue that GM could easily go with the Camaro (and no, the all-new Blazer … [Read more...] about A Dodge Challenger SUV Looks Like A Bad Idea, But What If?
