Italian motorcycle brand Moto Morini made its debut in the adventure motorcycle segment at the EICMA 2019 motorcycle show in Milan, Italy. The new Moto Morini X-Cape 650 is powered by a 650 cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine with a six-speed transmission. The X-Cape will be available in two variants - with a 'standard' and 'limited' engine. The company hasn't published power figures for the standard, but says the 'limited' will put out 48 bhp of power. Moto Morini also didn't publish the weight of the bike, but has a seat height of 830 mm, which should be relatively accessible. Australian electric motorcycle manufacturer Savic, has unveiled the company's latest model, the C-Series at the Australian motorcycle festival in Wollongong. The C-Series is available in three variants - the Omega, Delta and Alpha with slightly different looks, range and performance. All three variants have the same frame, same single-sided swingarm, same 8-inch full colour display panel, single-seat setup with pillion seat option and same suspension. All three variants feature a poly carbon belt drive, riding modes, ABS, traction control and regenerative braking. The Savic C-Series is available in three trims - Omega, Delta and Alpha, each with varying levels of performance The Omega has the lowest range and least power among the three, but it also takes the least time to be charged fully. Power output of the Omega is rated at 25kW (around 33.5 bhp) with 110 Nm of peak torque. Acceleration is claimed at 0 to 100 kmph in 5.5 seconds. Expect sales to begin in very early 2018. The next-gen Jeep Wrangler is one of the most-anticipated vehicle debuts of the year, and according to Fiat Chrylser Automobiles boss Sergio Marchionne speaking to the Toledo Blade, the model’s premiere could happen at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November. Assembly would begin at Jeep’s factory in Toledo, Ohio, during the same month, and they would arrive in showrooms early in 2018. “We may be forced to go to Los Angeles to launch the car. We’ll have them running around,” Marchionne said, according to the Toledo Blade. “I can’t cover them up with masking tape. The car is too distinctive. Daimler has taken a "reality check" on self-driving "robotaxis", acknowledging that making them safe is proving harder than first thought amid questions over their future earnings potential. Chief Executive Ola Kaellenius told journalists on Thursday Daimler would "rightsize" its spending level on robotaxis and that self-driving technology would more likely be applied to commercial vehicles for freight companies on long haul routes. Carmakers raced to develop self-driving vehicles after Google presented a prototype car in 2012, leading Daimler to develop an autonomous Mercedes. The idea of fleets of robotaxis picking up and ferrying customers around cities gained traction, driven by the stellar growth of ride services such as Uber and of delivery services firms.
