Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has once again hiked the prices for the Toyota Innova Hycross MPV. This is the second price hike of this year and the automaker has hiked the prices for MPV up to Rs 27,000.
However, it is worth mentioning that the price hike is only applicable to the hybrid variants of the Toyota Innova Hycross MPV. As a result, prices for the hybrid variants of Toyota Innova Hycross start from Rs 25.03 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the VX trim.
That being said, prices for the Toyota Innova Hycross starts from Rs 18.55 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the entry-level ‘G’ variant with the petrol engine. On the other hand, the top-spec ZX(O) variant with the hybrid engine is priced at Rs 29.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Speaking about the Toyota Innova Hycross, the MPV gained more than decent traction in the Indian market despite having no diesel powertrain option. Instead, the Toyota Innova Hycross is offered with two engine options.
The base petrol engine is a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated, petrol engine with 172bhp and 205Nm of peak torque. This engine drives the front wheels via a smooth-shifting CVT gearbox.
On the other hand, the hybrid powertrain consists of a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated, Atkinson cycle petrol engine and an electric motor. In combined form, this powertrain produces 184.8bhp of peak power and 206Nm of peak torque.
In comparison to the Innova Crysta, the Innova Hycross is 20mm longer, 20mm wider, and also sports a mammoth 100mm extra space between its front and rear wheels – Completely dwarfing the Innova Crysta.
Thoughts About Toyota Increasing The Price Of Innova Hycross
Though this is the second price hike of the Innova Hycross this year, we do not expect to see any dip in sales of the MPV. In fact, some customers are willing to wait up to a year for the Toyota Innova Hycross.
