WalletHub has determined the 2019 best foodie cities in the U.S., and Houston didn’t crack the top 20.

The personal finance website compared more than 180 of the largest U.S. cities across 30 key metrics including the cost of groceries, affordability and accessibility of high-quality restaurants and food festivals per capita to calculate its rankings.

The culinary hotspots that made the cut are wallet-friendly and cater to diners who prefer to cook at home, explore the local flavors or both.
