The Michigan Economic Development Corp. says a project by Pacific Industrial Development Corp. is expected to generate more than $17 million in private investment and create 50 jobs. The company says it wants to continue increasing its research and development capabilities. It has been awarded a $400,000 performance-based grant. Michigan was chosen over a site in South Carolina for the expansion. The Michigan Economic Development Corp. is the state’s chief marketing and business attraction arm.
