The broadband provider experienced a “fiber cut” earlier in the day, representatives wrote on Twitter. Metro Detroit customers, including those across Rochester, Rochester Hills, Shelby Township and Warren, were left without internet, TV and phone service. Technicians were tending to the problem late Thursday, and an exact restoration time was not immediately available. “We are currently working on splicing the fiber lines. This is a lengthy process,” the company tweeted at about 11 p.m. “We will provide any further update as information is given to us from the field.” Besides Michigan, WOW! serves customers in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Maryland and the Southeast, according to its website.
