He is yet to sign a new Mercedes deal, but Lewis Hamilton says he “wants to take this team the furthest it has ever been” and “really upset the red cars and the red team”. Hamilton, who celebrated his 100th race with Merc at the Bahrain GP, is yet to commit his long-term future to the team with his current contract coming to an end at the end of this year. The four-time World Champion has made it clear in the past that he hasn’t talked to any other teams and when asked by the Mercedes F1 website what the future holds, he replied: “My hope for the future is that we continue – continue to grow, excel and always move forwards.
