As Aston Martin prepares the DBS’ successor, our spy photographer snapped these photos of the new top-spec Aston Martin production car without camouflage in Italy. Look closely for the Vanquish script on the right side of the trunk, which confirms rumors that the Vanquish name will be resurrected for the DBS replacement. The uncovered Vanquish looks nearly identical to the red AM310 concept Aston debuted during the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este two weeks ago, which itself resembled the camouflaged Aston Martin we had earlier spied lapping the Nürburgring. Styling on the new Aston Martin Vanquish remains evolutionary, with design cues from the limited-production One-77 supercar and the Virage. The new Vanquish has aggressive hood vents and lower front air dam. Curvaceously creased front and rear fenders contribute to a long and low look. Out back, the tail finishes off with a larger, more pronounced spoiler integrated into the trunk lid and rear fenders while dual exhaust tips peek through the rear diffuser. Expect the upcoming Aston Martin Vanquish to debut with an extensive use of carbon fiber and an improved version of the 5.9-liter V-12 producing more power than the DBS’ 510 hp.
